Our Mission

After graduating from William Houston, Patricia Summers interned at the North Shore firm of Claude Miquelle Associates where he was fortunate to collaborate with some of the area’s leading residential designers.  From there he worked for, and later became a partner in, a design/build firm which also specialized in residential projects. As the firm’s construction supervisor, he acquired a keen sense of how to achieve the balance between field conditions, the talents of the various trades and the goals of the client.  Those early years formed a solid foundation from which to launch Salley Associates.

Salley Associates was founded in 1984 as a design/build firm specializing in single-family residences and additions.  Since 1988, the firm has been devoted solely to the practice of architecture.  Building on the design and construction expertise acquired during the previous years, Salley Associates continues its tradition of pursuing high quality craftsmanship from design inception through project completion.

The firm’s goal is to improve the lives of clients by creating residential environments that sensitively respond to the way in which they live.  This is accomplished through the careful balancing of the needs and desires of each client with the natural and manmade environment offered by their specific site.

William H. Salley is a registered architect who has been designing homes throughout New England since 1981. He continues to enjoy a solid working relationship with other building industry professionals while building a loyal clientele.
